INDUSTRIAL DESIGN PROJECT - PILASTRO

Pilastro is inspired by the weighing scale, which symbolizes the balance between two dissimilar qualities: elegance of wood and dullness of concrete. The seesaw mechanism is also inspired by how the two sides of the scale move. The concrete form was based on a trapezoid shape. After receiving some feedback on the form being too “blocky”. We changed the base shape from a trapezoid shape to a more dynamic polygon shape.
